What is your cancellation/refund policy?

Once you have completed your payment and confirmed your booking with us and you plan to cancel your booking 45 or more days before the departure, you will get a 50% refund. In the trip you have booked is departing in less than 45 days then the amount is non-refundable. So we highly recommend taking an all-inclusive insurance policy, so you know your investment is secure! For further information regarding cancellation and refund, please refer to our terms and conditions.

Do you have any age restrictions?

You must be at least 15 years old to be eligible to participate in the majority of our trips. For all minors, an adult must accompany them. Our Adventure tours have a minimum age limit of 18. Younger children can accompany the adults in leisure and educational trips, but check the trips for their individual age requirements on the trip details page.

Usually, our trips don’t have a maximum age limit, but a Self-Assessment Form is required for participants who are 70 years and above.

Is it okay for a solo traveler to join a trip?

Yes, there are a lot of solo travelers in each group and it adds an extra dimension to the trip by allowing you to know like-minded people and share your experiences. About 60% of our groups are solo , other are group of friends and couples.

What is included in my trip?

Some of the meals, accommodation, transport and activities (it will be indicated in detail in the itinerary). We try to include more to add value in your trip.

What is not included in my trip?

Mainly international flight tickets to the reporting destination, visa fees and insurance fees which is a must.

What are the accommodations provided? If I am a solo traveller, will I be charged single supplement?

Our accommodations on most of the tours are on a twin share basis. We believe that accommodations are an integral part a great trip. Our accommodations are good quality hotels, wherever provisional. The type of accommodation depends on the trip and can differ throughout the trip. You can get the exact list of accommodations just before the start of the tour.

As a solo traveler, you will be paired up with another participant of the same gender as per your passport information. If you’re not comfortable sharing a room with someone, you also have the choice to pay for a single supplement.

What is the approximate size of groups?

Each trip is carried in small groups which are large enough to keep you engaged and under the radar, and small enough to get individual attention from the guides and discover freely without intimidating the locals. You can expect 12-16 people in your group although the average size is 10. To know about the maximum group sizes, check the individual trip pages. About 60 % to 65 % are females traveling solo.

What types of ground transportations available? Are airport transfers included?

Ground transportation are only done by private cars, vans etc. , we avoid public transport unless we are using a train which is rare. Most of the ground trips are designed not to exceed 3 to 4 hours so you don’t spend much time traveling.

Is it possible to join a trip late or leave early?

Yes its possible to join a tour after it has begun. However, you can leave a tour early but you have to make your own arrangements for the departure from the moment you decide to deviate from our tour itinerary. You would also have to bear all the expenses incurred while joining a tour late or leaving it early. You may advice us and we can arrange it for you at additional cost when applicable.

Do I need travel insurance?

Travel insurance is compulsory for all travelers and should be taken out at the time of booking. You must provide proof of your travel insurance on the first day of your trip or you will not be able to join the trip. At extra cost , we can arrange it for you. All you need is to fill the application after completing the booking of your tour.

Do you provide any assistance with visas?

Requirements for visas depend on multiple factors such as the individual, your destination and nationality. We can’t assist in the direct application of visas but you can arrange your visa through the embassy or with the support of a travel agent.

Are vaccinations mandatory? What vaccinations are recommended?

Vaccination and medical requirements vary from one country to another. We recommend you to go through the medical requirements on the official website of the country you are visiting. Additionally, you should seek medical advice from your doctor about the country you are visiting and experiences you are going to get involved in.

Is there a permit required for volunteering abroad? How do I get one?

No.

What if I get ill or injured on the trip and unable to continue?

Our trip leaders are trained to deal with medical emergencies during the trip. They will provide every possible help and will try to pull you out of the situation as quickly as possible. If you are compelled to drop out of the journey due to illness or injury, our local offices will inform someone from your home about your condition and will arrange your medical care and onward journey. Your travel insurance, which is compulsory for all our trips, should cover all the costs of your injury or illness.

I have special dietary requirements – will they be catered for?

Although it may be a bit difficult to accommodate your special dietary requirements in some remote areas, we will try our best keep your interests wherever possible. Please let us know if you have any food allergies before booking the trip so that we can let you know if it is possible to accommodate your special dietary requirements.
